Discuss the metaphor of restored fortunes? What did it mean for Israel to rejoice in the restored fortunes of Zion? What does it mean for us today?

In any work God has called us to do, there will be tearful sowing before joyful reaping. Where are you sowing in tears right now? How might you be trying to escape hurt or sadness? Discuss how can you acknowledge your tears and also keep sowing in hope of the harvest.

How has Jesus experienced a restoration of fortunes? How has he turned our fortunes? How can we always go back to this as a way of turning memory into prayer?
