According to verse 4, both stolen wealth and those who have been stolen from, cry out to the Lord of Hosts (Lord of Armies). How is this simultaneously a warning to the oppressor and comfort to the oppressed? Discuss.
By (sinful) nature we’re consumers who devour others to get what we want, and this is especially true with the pursuit of wealth (material and financial). What difference can practicing generosity make on how we pursue and hold on to wealth? Discuss.
When Jesus is our most loved treasure, money just becomes money, a tool to live and serve the kingdom. Cultivating that in our hearts is a daily battle that we can only do with God’s help.
